Quick Review:

Trope-tastic: Second chance romance. Divorced couple.
Five words or less: Second chances and new beginnings
Main Characters: Dylan is a foreign correspondent, ready to face the mistakes of his past. His biggest was letting his wife go. He needs to convince her that he's all-in this time, in the hopes that she'll give their love a second chance.
Emma is an ER Physician nearing the end of her residency. She's got big dreams and big plans for her future, including a fiance. She'll have to overcome her fears and decide if she can risk her heart again to the man that broke it so badly before.
Ah, Romance: What I can tell you is that my heart has always been yours. That never changed. That will never change." - Dylan to Emma
Format: Digital ARC

My thoughts: I enjoyed the general story-line, and was very interested in seeing how Dylan and Emma could navigate the waters of their relationship, especially given their careers. I appreciated the heartfelt discussions about their past, but felt as though Dylan didn't quite do enough in the beginning to earn back Emma's trust. His heart was in the right place, but some of his actions (like using their attraction to his benefit) had me thinking that if this were anything other than a second-chance romance, I'd be wishing the heroine would move on. He sort of steam-rolled the relationship and I connected with Emma's concerns about allowing him to influence her decisions. That being said, she was her own worst enemy in being unable to figure out what she ultimately wanted, and I did tire a bit of her endless "I love him but I can't trust him" inner dialogue. While I'd have loved to see a resolution a little sooner in the story, the epilogue more than sealed their happily ever after! Dylan got Emma & Emma didn't have to choose between Dylan and her dream. Dylan and Emma were a great team, and I'm hoping we'll see more of this adventurous couple in future books.
