One of the darkest Kings I’ve ever read—I’d recommend anyone with trauma to look up content warnings for this book before reading. That being said, King’s ability to create a mood, then trap us in the main character’s mind alongside her was expertly done. While it was often an uncomfortable read, it was undeniably a good one. (The ending, also, was incredibly satisfying.)
