Breaking All the Rules by Amy Andrews
3.0
Bea is a 35 year old woman who moved to a town in Colorado to start over. She was passed over for an executive position at her advertising firm and quit with flourish. Now, she spends her days eating pie, watching TV, and rebelling. Enter Austin, a confident 25 year old police officer who takes Bea to the station and puts her in a jail cell. Sparks fly between the two.
I really liked the idea of this book. As 30 something myself who has not been so lucky in the love department, I was intrigued at Bea basically doing what she wants and saying what she feels. I liked how she created a mini bucket list of things to do that challenged or scared her.
I did feel like their conflict was a bit forced in the third act, but Austin was very sweet and understanding. Almost a bit too perfect. The cast of characters was fun. I liked the puns in the book.
Overall it was a decent read. Ends with a happily ever after. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
