I had a very hard time getting into this book. There are a ton of narrative changes - it’s told from the perspective of three sisters - and I found it difficult to place the story into any particular time period for a long while. There’s a lot that goes unsaid in this book, from the simple “this is where this character physically is right now” to the deeper things unsaid between all the characters. That said, it’s beautifully written and a good depiction of the way that trauma affects us all, and of the way family relationships impact our lives in huge ways.
