You Called an Ambulance for What?
by Tim Booth
informative
fast-paced
It's some wild irl experiences. and I'll digress that I totally get wanting to vent about the day to day folks who just misuse emergency services. And generally speaking, I did enjoy hearing the stories that brought.
But Tim really needs to unpack some internal biases and ableism that should have never made this book. Simultaneously looking down on anti-vaxxers for not believing in medicine only to turn around and talk about not believing in certain medical diagnoses was wild.
As was consistent, dehumanizing language for certain patients. It's really off-putting. And its totally different from dark humor or swearing. Neither of those things were the issue here.

There's some serious dehumanizing language that Tim uses throughout the book about certain patients. Along with a healthy dose of fat phobia.
