ALL THE BEST LIES is the third book in the Ellery Hathaway series by Joanna Schaffhausen. The book follows Reed Markham and Ellery Hathaway as Reed begins to search for the person who brutally murdered his mother over forty years ago and left baby Reed alive.
I could not put this book down! I loved the characters of Reed and Ellery and reading about how their relationship changes during their trip to Vegas to learn more about Reed’s mom. Ellery had some terrible experiences as a child and Reed is the son of a politician who puts his career first.
The ending was a bit predictable for me, but I would still highly recommend this one!
I read the first book, THE VANISHING SEASON, shortly after it’s release in 2017. I haven’t had a chance to read the second book, but it didn’t impact my understanding of book three. ALL THE BEST LIES can definitely be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend picking up at least the first book to understand some of the characters and their relationship! This is a series I will definitely continue to read and I’m hoping the author writes a fourth book as well!
