I picked this one up because it was Suleika Jaouad’s favorite book from this year and it was something! Beautifully written and narrated by the author. I found it artsy and weird and uncomfortable. My jaw was on the floor multiple times. Themes of motherhood, marriage, sexuality, womanhood, and trauma all mixed into one. I couldn’t put it down and found it fascinating. All things said, this is not going to be for everyone and some people will really hate it.
