Wild Dreams
by Mari Carr, Mari Carr
Where has this author and series been all my life? Yes, I started with book 12 which works well as a standalone. However, I enjoyed it so much I plan to meet all of the Collins family by starting at the beginning.
Oliver wants his wild dream of two soulmates and a family. However, it’s going to be difficult to convince the man he loves to be a part of his dream. Gavin was brutally abused as a child and has a hard time trusting people. When Oliver’s mom and two dads brought Gavin into their house, he rebelled at first, but after nine years, he started to open up to a few people in the very large Collin Clan. So when Oliver asks Gavin to be a part of his dream, Gavin shuts him down as he works out his issues with his abusive mother. Enter Erin. Oliver’s open-minded sassy girlfriend and eventual best friend to Gavin. As they all live together, they start to open up to each other and the love naturally grows between this lovely, passionate trio.
In addition, to the main characters, there are many dads, moms, aunts, uncles, cousins, and of course sweet Pop Pop, the patriarch of the family. Therefore, I am happy to pick up book 1 and get to know this wonderful crew. The love and support this family gives is what Gavin needs to see what real love and trust feels like.
I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for the protagonists to make it work. And they did with flying colors. Of course, there is very hot MMF sex, but this book is more than that. It’s about acceptance, compassion, and the love of family.
Thank you to Ms. Carr for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
