Entrusted
by Jody Hedlund
From the first sentences meeting the fierce and feisty Birgetta, I was excited. She's a fighter, she can use a sword! She doesn't need romance to fulfill her life--that is, until Kristopher enters the picture. One of the king's Knights of Brethren sent to search for the holy lamp as enemy forces threaten to overwhelm their kingdom. As all the storylines of the previous books converge into the final showdown, we watch a sweet love story unfold.
Once again Jody surprised me with how she chose to resolve it all; Entrusted features her familiar and beloved mix of action, stomach flutters, witty banter, and world building that have kept readers inhaling these books as fast as possible. At the risk of giving something away, I have to be careful how much I say. It was a satisfying end to the series while leaving me hoping it won't be long before Jody revisits medieval/fantasy fiction.
