This was a slow hook for me. It took about halfway through for me to get invested. The world building was shaky and confusing at first. The banter was almost too much. The enemies to lovers trope was there, but there was also some insta-lust. The whole book improved in the second half, and how the plot interlocked was interesting. I'd call this a ACOTAR/Twilight mash up, and I'm curious to see what's next.
