l1ndz7 's review for:
Once There Were Wolves
by Charlotte McConaghy
šScottish Highlands, Scotland
I flewwww through this audiobook!! I want to give it a 4 just for that but looking at other reviews made me laugh cause there are a couple of questionable things that happen here.
I do agree that you should look up trigger warnings because there is domestic abuse, injury detail, death etc. Itās marketed as more fluffy than it actually is lol our mc and her twin sister have traumaaaa.
I also agree that itās weird thatInti didnāt want to get her sister some help after she found out that she was the killer. She literally almost killed your bf/baby daddy and def killed his dog and youāre like just nahh, sheās okay š³š³š¤£š¤£
I loved that this story was set in Scotland and involved wolf conservation and thought that plot line was beautiful. I almost wish we stuck more with that and didnāt throw in all of the other subplots like the subpar romance š¤£š¤£ I also loved the Scottish accents on the audiobook! It reminded me a lot of Rebecca Ross's A River Enchanted audiobook.
Overall, I found this enjoyable and look forward to reading more of this authors work. I do think sheās a bit over hyped but hopefully her other works will change my mind.
