__________
⭐⭐,75/5

Genre: Psychological horror
__________
She never played those sleepover games as a child, never chanted Bloody Mary into a nighttime mirror and scared herself, but she's only human. She's always carried a healthy fear of gazing into bathroom mirrors at night, if only because of the off chance of something else lurking behind her.
__________
I had trouble going through this book. I have thought multiple times about DNFing the book, but, there was 1 thing that kept me going and that was wanting to know what Prime was.
I don't know what to say... It never really captured my interest and while normally I am grasping at anything with a scientific background, this topic didn't interest me at all...
At a certain point during her research, Tamsin (our MC) and her team, discover the city is slowly but steadily sinking. They try to find out what is causing it and if their experiments with huge nodes has anything to do with it. However, we, as the reader, find out that Tamsin's basement at home is sinking at a much quicker rate as anywhere else, and at some point, out of nowhere, a door appears where there never has been one before.
Then, the door opens, and a copy of herself walks out and that's when chaos ensues!
There was one thing I did find interesting and that was seeing the changes in both Tamsin and her double and the changes in their relationship along the way.
For me, it became interesting for a bit like, 80% in 😂 (if you know, you know) and then it very quickly fizzled out again, so yeah, it sadly wasn't the read for me...
