A complete delight of a book. This is one of the many amazing stories by Miss Beverly. As always, she weaves in black history and teaches you so much but I love that this book also highlighted the close relationship between African Americans and Native Americans. And I love our lead female protagonist who is inspired by the black female physicians of the time. And as usual, the romance is top-tier. There’s too much to love about this book.
