I read Verity after the recommendation from my wife and niece. I liked it. I wasn't blown away by it, but I thought it was good. The ending is up to the reader's interpretation for sure, which has led to some interesting conversations as we each had different interpretations for sure. I wish the story would have been fleshed out a bit more to ramp up the tension more and also to give us more of the characters. I feel like with Lowen being the MC and at many times the narrator, we could have learned more about her from a different perspective to flesh out her character. Still a good read, when I sat down with it, I read it in about two days.
