Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco
5.0

Emilia is a witch living in Italy at a time when being a witch is dangerous. Not just because of the relatively large monastery in their small, seaside town, but because there are demons and Princes of Hell roaming the streets. As Emilia seeks the truth behind her twin’s murder, she finds out more about herself than she thought possible.

In this enchanted tale of witches and Hell-monsters, Maniscalco has managed to suck in her readers instantly and retain their attention through her masterful writing style as well as her plot development. This book is a perfect combination of magic and mystery in a historic Italian setting.

As a fan of Maniscalco’s previous works, I was not disappointed. I feel as if I have been sucked in and feel invested in her characters. I absolutely am looking forward to picking up the next book in the series.
