Under the Udala Trees by Chinelo Okparanta

emotional reflective sad medium-paced

Okay this was good. I am having trouble saying more than that.

I think the reflections on sexuality and the Bible were really poignant moments that I loved.

I think that following Ijeoma through her journey of loving others and herself was beautiful.

The writing style left me a little underwhelmed, and I wish Okparanta had put a bit more depth into her secondary characters.

Alas, I enjoyed this and will remember moments of it
