As a Wizard of Oz fan, I was always intrigued by Wicked and the hype surrounding it.
When the musical came to our local theatre, I jumped at the chance to attend. I came out underwhelmed and disappointed. I just didn't see what all the fuss was about.
With the release of the film, Wicked, once again, was being talked about and I came across a description of the book. It spoke of murder, sex and a completely different story from the one I knew so wanted to read it.
Again, I am left disappointed. I found this a difficult read, I trudged through to the end because I don't like to leave a book unfinished, even when I'm not enjoying it. I had added other books in the series to my To Read list. However, I don't think I will be in a rush to pick those up after all. Not for me.
