A heartwarming and emotional story with a calming backdrop.

Sentaro spends his days cooking Dorayaki he doesn't want to eat to pay his debt. Most of the time, he thinks about how easier it will be if he dies but every day he tries hard to fight his inner demons.

Tokue, an elderly woman who suffered from a disease leaving her with crooked fingers and a half-paralyzed face.

Together, these two helped each other exactly with what they needed. Sentaro to find meaning in life, and Tokue to experience what she missed.

Tokue's views may sound a bit preachy but it is not overly emotional. Imagine walking on a path filled with Cherry Blossom trees while eating something sweet and thinking about life. That's how this book will feel like.
