**Spoiler Alert**
I liked this book. I usually don't read this genre. However, I was traveling and needed something to occupy my mind while on the plane and I decided to read it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed reading this novel. I will admit there are some cliche moments and going into it I knew the plot would be very predictable but I did not mind it. (Roman meets Rourke at Masquerade party and they have erotic sex. Turns out, the mystery guy is our billionaire exiled prince Roman who ended up being Rourke's arrogant boss. They both fall in love and eventually get married).
The novel overall had good pacing. The sex scene had the right amount of intensity, eroticism and sensuality. There were a few twists that I did not predict regarding some of the characters. I loved the mystery surrounding Roman, the exiled prince. I hated his attitude throughout the novel. However, eventually I grew to like him. I found that I was more intrigued with finding out more about Roman and his feelings than I did Rourke. He, invaded my thoughts and took over my fantasies.
Maybe it's just me but I get the feeling that the author drew inspiration from the numerous conspiracy theories surrounding a surviving member of the Romanov family (hint, hint-Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov.) I got that feeling when I heard Roman's back story. Then again, I could be wrong.
If you love reading cliche contemporary romance plots, this book is definitely for you.
