Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter
4.0

The suspense is getting more intense!

What new did this volume bring?
We got to know Jenny a lot more. Her background, past life as well as her feelings and abilities.

Everything is coming together so well, and it is easy to see how everything from the first volume to the last (Next book) have been nicely planned.

We get a bit more under Jackerby's skin in this one - And I loved it! His thoughts and feelings, about the world, himself and his situation and even a bit of his past!

Rook, as always, is a wonderful narrator and every time Jackaby starts his big explanations Rook is faithfully with us - asking what on earth he might be talking about. Her bravery shines in this one and she feels so very real in this supernatural mystery tale.

Once more I must just say how much I love the duo of Jackaby and Rook. How they support and spare with each other as well as how they complete each other as a team.
There is even a little extra chapter after the story have been told - a moment between Jackaby and Rook, taking place the night after the last chapter.
New information was shared between the two and yet so much left vocally unsaid (by jackaby), yet told so very well by the tone, the eyes and the mood.

This series has definitely made an impact on me and I enjoy it so very much! With its mystery, the setting, the suspense, the thrill, the humor and the wonderful colourful characters! I do believe Jackaby may be one of my favourite factional characters ^_^
