The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty

5.0

The sequel we deserve! This book picks up five years after the events of The City of Brass. I’ll keep things vague so as not to spoil the first book...

The pacing of this book is so much better than book one. Each chapter flows smoothly into the next, the skips in time far less jarring.

Each character grows immensely throughout the course of this book. With the stakes raised higher, their choices are smarter, and the consequences far more severe. I want so badly for these characters to find happiness and peace they deserve.

The tension that builds as each perspective winds closer and closer together is *chef’s kiss* just so well-written and intricately plotted. I loved this book with all my heart, and for that it has earned one of my very few five stars of the year.
