So this book I didn’t enjoy as much as I did the others. The main female character Lara was likeable at first. But the moment she became under the “care” of the main male character that went right out the window. The entire focus and development of Lara and Gabriel’s relationship was on the fact he’d kidnapped her, “saved her”, she was innocent (a virgin) and he wanted to dominate her. Normally, fine a little taboo romance is good specially with a mafia story. But lord this one was bad. Every time Lara had a single thought it was how she was beautiful and thank god or else she would’ve been raped in her past life. Gabriel even says as much till he realizes her naiveness and virginity turns him on. The other stories were fast paced but something about this one made the fast pace seem off. One minute Gabriel says he wants Lara to let him know when they can sleep together and in the same night he’s begging to take it (and shocker she gives in). A little Dom/Sub action can be sexy and deliciously smutty. But it fell short here. <spoiler/>
