I CANNOT BELIEVE this book.

I have a love-hate relationship with it.

HOW CAN-let me say it again-HOW THE HELL can Nicholas just send Etta back to her timeline, thoughtlessly leaving her alone, and then-THEN decide "oh you know what, I miss her. I'll just go get Rose and Henry and go to New York 2015"
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUDGEPUDDLES??? I was so angry at Nicholas, he's so annoying honourable-too honourable-and that was a bit of a stupid and thoughtless move if you ask me, because what about all the other people who have found homes in other times? How could he leave Etta all alone?

I'm so glad that we FINALLY understood what the devil was going on with Rose-that she wanted Etta to destroy the atralobe because she thought she's the only one worthy of it's power...

I really liked Henry's character, as well, and I really liked how he was still in love with Rose and how he was proud of Etta. I actually thought he was going to end up being a bad guy, but he stayed good, which was a relief!

The whole ordeal about the Shadows and the alchemist and the Ancient One and Belladona was a bit confusing. I felt like it was a bit of a random idea, and the way the Ancient One just died and nothing really significant happened...it felt a bit random to me. I'll have to re-read it to fully understand it.

Oh my gosh, I was SO EXCITED to meet Julian! I absolutely loved him and how he was so flirty and so unserious in the worst situations! He was fantastic!

I think I missed the part where Etta met Li Min in San Fransico, but Li Min's character was cool.

I also really liked how Nicholas and Sophia became friends, and how Julian apologised for being mean to him previously!

I didn't really get the deal with the shinning man that Rose saw...but I'll re-read it eventually to understand it. I really really liked the prologue; it was really captivating.

I felt like throughout the book Etta was becoming more and more like Rose....I also really loved how Nicholas and Etta could read each other's actions and reactions even when they weren't with each other.

I teared up towards the last sixty pages and I skim read the last 30 pages...I was SO UPSET at Nicholas!

I felt the same way about the storyline of this book as I did about passengers'...I felt like it just dragged on a bit randomly until it got to the end...

BUT the description in this book was beautiful!

Overall, I have a love-hate feeling towards this book and I'm confliced and confused about it! I think I'll have to re-read both books again to gain a full understanding of the world, but it was still a great book!
