Darken the Stars
by Amy A. Bartol
I know that most people will disagree with me but this was my favorite book in the series. It definitely started slow and the ending wasn’t what I was hoping for but I loved this book.
I liked this book so much that I reread the entire series as soon as I finished this book.
The ending may not be what people wanted and I’m not even sure it’s still true to Kricket’s character at the end of the book but she wants to live which I can understand. While I do wish she did end up with Kyon or Trey, I like the ending. Kricket took care of herself, she made it out and she made it alive. The way that Amy wrote the ending also leaves it open to more books (which she recently announced she will be doing).
I think there are a few open story lines I would like revisited and questions I would like answered so hopefully we’ll get those answers in the next book. Like what is the full prophecy? Who knows it? It appears Pan, Excelsior, the Brotherhood and Kyon know it, but does anyone else? What’s Nezra’s background and story? How about Giffen?
