The Monster and the Last Blood Match is the first book in the Blood Type Series by K.A. Linde. It’s a dystopian, paranormal romance that is fast paced and will have you binge reading to see what happens next.
Reyna Carpenter is desperate to help her near starving family. She can’t find work and doesn’t have the means to attend college. Enter Visage, the blood escort service. Reyna takes on a high paying position as Beckham Anderson’s permanent blood escort and is shocked to find the job is nothing like she expects.
The Monster and the Last Blood match is chock full of intriguing characters and twists and turns that will get your blood pumping. I love that Reyna is not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself. There is so much tension between Reyna and Beckham throughout the story and it is definitely a slow burn, however the book is extremely fast paced and a quick read so even though the burn is slow, you won’t feel like you’re waiting forever. If vampires and paranormal romances are your jam I would definitely give this series a read.
