The School for Good Mothers by Jessamine Chan

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
I cannot find sympathy for the main character. She made a choice, not a mistake. I'm sure this might have some additional commentary on parenting and I agree it's freaking hard, but damn. Done.
