Engaging, well written even though the chapters were flimsy but I think it helped with the pacing overall. I really enjoy thrillers that make you think you know what’s going on and then flip it upside down (and in a meaningful way, not just for shock value). I found some of Patch’s expectations of Saint to be a little misplaced and my poor girl literally got dealt shitty hand after shitty hand for none of the credit. Rich characters and the pacing was good- I could’ve done without the random 3 news callouts to mark a new decade. Overall was a good read but some of it was a little too outlandish for how grounded the story was trying to be.
