Mr. President
by Katy Evans
He kisses me gently the first second, and then without apology, deeply, like the revving of a rocket engine, followed by the launch into space, and then I’m in a galaxy of pure bright stars and endless night, lost and weightless, warmed by a sun I cannot see, his mouth a hungry vortex, a delicious black hole, sucking me in.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!I have no words for Mr. President right now but simply be in awe of it. Wow, that was literally one of the best politically based books I have ever read. I was up until 3am reading Mr. President and I was left with so much emotion and basically flipping all the pages frantically saying, 'That's it'. I even yelled a bit because I was moved by the story. A few books do that to me and this book was one of them. I was amazed. I was even speechless. Mr. President was perfect politically charged story filled with scandal, romance and sexiness. I fell in love with it.
I have been a massive fan of Katy Evans. She is one of those authors I one click instantly with no hesitation. When I got Mr. President, I was so excited because I simply love her and the story grabbed my attention just like that. I was not disappointed at all. From the first page, I was hooked. I simply could not take my eyes of it. Everything about Mr. President was truly perfection. The story, the romance, the characters, the politics and the sex scenes were so phenomenal that it all just clicked. I found myself just simply getting lost in the book. It is so magical when a book does that to you. Mr. President was a powerful and emotionally charged book that simply dripping with drama, sex and politics. I found myself so captivated and mesmerized with the American politics portrayed in Mr. President. It was hot as hell. Mr. President was seeping with so much light that I found myself smiling throughout the book.
Katy Evans is a wordsmith. I freaking loved her describing scenes in her books. I found myself being transported into the world of Matt and Charlotte and I loved every moment of it. I was swooning. I was laughing. I was sad. I almost cried. Mr. President gave me so much damn emotions. I thought I was going insane. That's what so awesome because Katy Evans gave us powerful writing that I feel like it deserved to be given a massive shoutout.
I loved the characters. They were so dynamic and prolific. Oh Charlotte was a heroine I simply adored. She was sassy, spunky, fun, caring, loving and loyal. She was a hard worker. I just loved her. She was one of those heroines I felt so comfortable. There was a balance to her strong side vs her vulnerable side. Katy Evans definitely nailed that. Max Hamiliton. My Max. I freaking loved him that he has joined my book boyfriend club. I was swooning. He was sexy, swoon worthy(oh I swooned hard for him), cocky without being a douche, alpha (le sigh), and just pretty much so amazing. Max and Charlotte had the perfect chemistry that I just could not help but fall in lovw with. It was real, quirky and their banter was off the charts amazing.
Mr. President was an amzing read. I cannot wait what happens next.
