The Great Gatsby
by F. Scott Fitzgerald
What a disappointment this book was. To be honest I do not know why there were expectations. Going into this book I know nothing about its characters or story.
But to find a weird mishmash of "Generation X" and "The Teleportation Accident" (which I both hold in no high regard) was somehow bad for such a praised novel (I know, in reality both robbed this one). There is little character and less plot. It is strange because if I had to tell someone a summary I would sound like a fine book but everything happens on the last 20 pages.
