This book was the best I've read in years. I'm very impressed by the author's decision to take on some very different themes and literary devices in a first novel! Having the main character be the artificial intelligence component of a spaceship that takes corporeal form in hundreds of enslaved bodies must have been a daunting task. Recommended read, and definitely an author I want to pursue.
