Manson: The Life and Times of Charles Manson by Jeff Guinn

5.0

A really intriguing look at a man who horribly exemplified the dark side of the late sixties. Is Manson the product of a terrible childhood? A total madman? An evil messiah? Throughout this mesmerising and terrible story, one can't help but be astonished at his sick power over others. Nor can the zeitgeist of the times be ignored. It left me wondering just how much control any of the participants, including Manson, had over themselves. A fascinating and utterly horrifying book.
