3.5? 3.75? Just under 4? I'm stuck at the rating.... it was very typical YA and the ending was a huge letdown (with regard to twist and motive) but I loved the all-girls boarding school background - of which the author captured the social aspect perfectly! I wish there had been more interaction between students and faculty/staff because the lack of relationships was unrealistic and detracted from the authenticity found in the rest of the story. The lbgqt story was an unexpected surprise - I wish the racial one (only mentioned once!) was granted the same significance and attention. By the end the motive behind the murders was untenable, falling short compared to the rest of the book.
