A Game of Thrones: The Graphic Novel: Volume One
by George R.R. Martin
This is exactly like the TV show. Boobs everywhere! Boobs, boobs, boobs. Basically I just read this because the new season is coming (The New Season Is Coming: my house words), and every time I look at the actual book I'm like, "oh man, look at how thick that is, and he spells sir "ser," and Jared "Garryd" or whatever I don't think me and this book is ever gonna happen." So comics to the rescue! Go comics! The choices that Abraham made in order to whittle down bajillion pages to comic book pacing/length were excellent (or I assume they were, I'm probably never touching that door stopper), and the art was more than decent though not personally my favorite. Unfortunately I don't really think it brings anything new to the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, except ah, be a comic book, making it pretty dull on the whole unfortunately. Maybe if the artwork were amazing/unique? But it's not.
