15 Minutes of Flame
by Christin Brecher
I would have been happy with just the skeleton mystery, but I thought it was neat to have things escalate to present day. Made for a much bigger reveal. I got the book from Once Upon a BookClub Halloween box. Pros would put me at 3 stars. Love the hints at Stella and Andy, but not sure I want to continue with the series.
Typos aren't always super noticable but they were distracting with a couple continuity errors in the changing of Brenda's last name and Leigh seemingly being two places at once. But what dropped from 3 stars was the repetition of the phrase "the town's neediest." It just felt very strange and vague which rubbed me the wrong way. Most areas have specific shelters or programs to help those in need maybe it would have felt more real and sincere to highlight something similar in the book.
