I came to Sam Neill’s memoir Did I Ever Tell You This? as a long-time lover of Jurassic Park and stayed for the honest, immersive storytelling. His narration is charming, witty, and uplifting as he details the oft-unusual moments in his life that led him towards his unexpected but impressive career. Imbued with a sincere appreciation for the family, friends, and colleagues, who have been in even the smallest ways integral to his growth as an individual and as an actor, I loved learning more about Sam, his early life, and the moments that proved formative for his career.
