It was an enjoyable romance. Both main characters are police detectives who have lost Important people recently. Royce lost his former partner and best friend and Sawyer lost his husband. They became new work partners and the story really focused on those two and not so much on the crimes. Even Though Royce didn't want anything to to with Sawyer at the beginning, he quickly feel in love with him and that in just a few weeks. For me it was moving a little bit to fast and was more Insta Love than a real slow burn. Im curious to see what happens in the rest of the series.
