Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
5.0
Divine Rivals is heartbreaking, poetic, and enthralling.
From the moment I read the first chapter, I was absolutely captured by Rebecca Ross' writing.
She crafts a tale of a sister who has to say goodbye to her brother while he leaves to fight for the greater good. She writes him letters and hopes he see it, only to discover that her letters have been being delivered to someone else.
This other person, a mystery, but right in front of her at the same time. She finds herself stuck between wanting the two, but not knowing they are the same.
Once tragedy strikes, she finds herself in a place that will change her life.
I enjoyed this book so much, the writing was splendid and Rebbeca created characters who were beautiful and complex and unique. They showcased grief in a way that was heavy but understandable, and a burden worth carrying to remember the ones you love.
5/5 - cannot reccomend this enough.
