Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

5.0

If someone told me this was a book about making and playing video games, I don't think I'd pick it up. This book is not, however, about video games. It is a book about life and love and friendship and loss - of struggle and success, risk and reward - of estrangement and intimacy, loneliness and companionship, stagnancy and growth.

Zevin’s writing drew me in from the jump. This feels like a modern John Irving novel with prose that is meandering, mundane, and a little pretentious while simultaneously feeling direct, poignant, and relatable.

I did not like this book. I loved it. Terribly.
