A worthy and very dark follow-up to Less Than Zero. Ellis is pretty good at depicting vacuous, narcissistic personalities and it never gets old to me since his imagery is so evocative, especially when it’s disturbing and violent. Clay was a (somewhat) relatable character in LTZ, but his monstrous turn here makes all the sense in the world, you in fact do not have to hand it to him
