For a story titled "Happily Ever Afterwards", they sure do take their time to reach that happy ending!
But it's a good journey, from Peony starting out as simply a fan of the novel to her actually seeing these characters as people with their own lives, thoughts, backstories – even secrets that would not be revealed in the novel – and slowly begins to truly fall for Richt as person, instead of a fan.
A light hearted and cheerful read! Great writing and even wonderful artwork.
