Don't let the cover fool you, this is a post apocalyptic story of survival.

Set in 2023 there is an outbreak of an awful disease called 6DM, (6 Days Maximum, as that's how long you have.) wiping out the world's population. Everyone except our narrator whowe then follow on her journey of survival.

Pros:
Loved the premise and that it was set in the UK as these things are usually US based storywise.
Loved how it explored how lonely it would be and thedescriptions of the world after are heartbreaking and harrowing. The part at the zoo in particular really got to me.
Really enjoyed the style it was told in, it really suited this story.
I enjoyed the exploration of who we really are deep down.

Cons: The main character was a bit of an idiot, and made some appalling decisions to the point she really annoyed me several times. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ She seemed to have no survival instinct. Yes you could argue she had suffered massive trauma but surely some instinct would kick in.
The ending was too abrupt for my liking and  didn't flow right.

Also take note there is obviously a great deal of death, dead bodies in various states of decomposition, numerous bodily fluids and animal deaths.
