I haven’t read any of TK’s Ursula Vernon books but this really felt like a kid book to me. Which is fine! But not what I expected. I thought it would be more like Defensive Baking with more “grown up” themes.
It’s my least favourite of her books I’ve read (which is not everything but getting close), though the bar is spectacularly high.
This is cute and fun and I can imagine buying a copy for my middle grade niblings who love to draw
