Malalai's views on international politics are a bit naive and simplistic, occasionally outright wrong. That said, the vast majority of the book contains priceless insights on the horrifying realities Afghans have to struggle with and the enormous damage caused by USA/NATO military intervention. This is where I was naive before and now I fully understand deep anti-western sentiments in the whole region. She is a real hero, one of the bravest women I have ever heard of. Very depressive but inspiring read, strongly recommended.
