Sometimes you pick up a book on a whim. The cover grabs you, the mood strikes you. You don't know why, but you are drawn to it. Rarely, that book is bad. Often it is good. And on occasion it is magnificent.
I picked up randomly while browsing in the bookstore because I'm a sucker for purple. Little did I know I grabbed one of my favorite books of all-time. The Raven Scholar is magnificent. It is in my top-5 of all-time. The writing is immaculate, the characters a joy and delight, and the plotting superb. This is a book of twists in the best possible way. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
