A Girl Named Digit by Annabel Monaghan

2.0

This book teetered on the edge of believable and unbelievable. It was like it didn't know if it wanted to be light and fun, or serious and correct. I couldn't figure out if I was enjoying this book or if I was reading it just so I could find out what happens. It was both childish and scary at the same time.

I mean eco-terrorists that are trying to kill you? That's pretty scary. So then why did it also feel like a cliche story? With a childish romance? It kept flipping from one end of the scale to the next. I really liked that Farrah aka Digit was a braniac with numbers and patterns and things but that wasn't the focus of the story, it's what I wanted to be the focus of the story, but instead the cutesy romance was the focus.

It was a cute read. But nothing more for me.

The name of the book is also a weird one, I feel like the only relation it has to the story is the fact that the main character's nick name is 'Digit'.
