Hoo boy. This was a drastic departure from the movie that I’m more familiar with, though I think it’s for the best and that I prefer how this book is tonally.
Jurassic Park (the book) feels a lot more cynical than its Hollywood blockbuster counterpart, maybe I’m a bit jaded but I found it refreshing that it seemed to want to paint the whole thing as incredibly messed up and thoughtless. Though I was told that the violence in the book was more graphic, I wasn’t quite prepared for how graphic and intense it was; though I got a kick out of it all.

Graphic: Animal death, Death, Gore
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Vomit
Minor: Fatphobia, Sexism
