What most were never taught. I can't thank Ms Anderson enough for this thorough, highly readable documentation of black existence -- and white response -- in America. I thought it was a rehearsal of where we are now (also important), but this is mostly how we got here -- sadly very robustly systemically, intentionally and legislatively.
