The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin
3.0
I loved the history of the gods in this world and how that all worked out by the end of the story.
But... I didn't enjoy the characters in this book. The MC felt very empty, and I didn't feel like I had gotten to know her as a person at all. The romance seemed to come out of nowhere and was quite cringe to me. The ending was somewhat confusing, even if I did like it once I figured out what was happening.
