Jack Reacher is an interesting character. Even though this was apparently the 9th book in a series, it was the first one I read. I didn't really feel too lost but I'm sure I would have enjoyed the book more if I knew more of the backstory.
Reacher is a typical 'tough guy' hero who knows all kinds of interesting and useful things that you wonder how he learned, handles any situation with relative ease, and doesn't get too bogged down in feelings.
The book was enjoyable... a nice popcorn read. The plot was actually very good and the other characters weren't bad, considering most of them will probably never be seen again. I'm at least curious enough to read another Reacher book.
