This is a hard one to review. I loved the atmosphere. I really liked the world, and I wouldn't mind reading more of the world. I also really got sucked into the beginning. However, the end... What the hell was that? I mean, suddenly the explanation for what's going on, well, without being spoilery, brought in a bunch of stuff that probably should have been more part of the world from the start to make it believable. I saw the twist coming. I did not fall for one of the things that should have made more emotional impact. I loved it when I finished it last night, and the more I think about it, the more things I'm like, "What was that? If that was the answer, how did any of the rest of this make sense?"  I didn't hate it. Four stars just for atmosphere and world-building. But the characters needed more development and the end was out-of-nowhere weird.
